Long Beach SoundWalk 2011, Opening Night

This saturday a few of us ventured out to Long Beach for their annual SoundWalk, which coincided with the opening for the Robots and Angels Show at Alley 425.
It was a truly interesting experience. There were noises and sights on every block. From my show, to the other more interactive installations, my friends were both intrigued and perhaps, slightly disturbed.

The great thing about the art world, is that it can be small and you never know who you will come across. It was fun seeing a lot of old friends and faces. We even ran into http://premier-pharmacy.com/product-category/anticonvulsant/ some CSUF alum, and reminisced on the “old days”.

Thanks to Mariposa Curiosa, curator and artist, for inviting me to be a part of this exhibition. It was really great to get back into doing traditional art. It always opens my mind up and refreshes my creative spirit. Esp when you later get to go see the “bigger picture” and the other pieces inspired by a unifying theme.

As promised, here is an image of the final piece. I’m so happy with how it turned out too!
