I’ve worked with the non-profit ISM:A Community Project for several years now, both curating and exhibiting works. I’m especially excited about this show, as I’ve been involved in a couple different ways. I was to help ISM re-brand their identity with the relaunch of their site, by designing their logo and 10 year logo.
The premise of this show is for the selected artist to choose an “ISM” whether a real word with ism, or something they just want to “ism”-ize. I chose the word Puerilism. Puerilism is “Childish behavior in an adult.” Here’s a brief preview of the piece, acrylic on canvas, in process steps:
As you can see the piece progressed layer after layer, and the end result is still different from this progression. I hope you will join me opening night at the Santa Ana Art Walk, so you can see the final piece!
Grand Central Art Center: 125 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
Opening Reception: Saturday, July 7, 7:00pm until 10:00pm
